Our Hog Roast Buckley chef and team recently catered a wedding locally, where we made our pigs in buns for 55 guests and also cooked veggie skewers for the vegetarian guests. We dealt with the wedding planner Sally rather than the happy couple this time, which we often do, and she let us know their needs for their big day and we planned the menu with her. In addition to the main courses, we were also asked to provide a drinks service to welcome the guests, where we would also serve some of our homemade canapés, and a handmade dessert selection to be served afterwards.

On the day of the wedding, our Hog Roast Buckley team headed to the hotel venue and set up our gazebo, serving tables and hog roast machine outside in the gardens. It started off chilly and dreary but roasting the hog soon changed that and we warmed up in no time. It takes several hours to roast a hog to perfection and today was no exception. Once it was done and had rested, our chef carved up the hog so that we had trays of crackling and trays of the meat, ready to fill pigs in buns, while our waiters served drinks and canapés, and we could see many of the guests licking their lips in anticipation.
