The best part about the summer wedding season is the truly special evenings you get to spend as a caterer. Wedding brings our small team at Hog Roast Flint out to all kinds of wonderful venues, where we meet all manner of folks from all walks of life, and where we enjoy some of the most loving and special atmospheres you are likely to find in all of life. With the summer wedding season, you get those special days that blend into wonderful, orange lit evenings with that perfect summer glow as the sun goes down just slow enough to keep the celebrations moving long into the warm summer evening.
Our wedding service with the resplendent Mr and Mrs Thomas this past weekend was one such magical evening. A wonderful sunny afternoon turned into an incredible summer evening of love, joy, dancing and great foods. The wedding was held at the immense Swn Y Nant cottage here in Flint, where the party made full use of the excellent green grounds to set up a marquee tent for the ceremony and celebration, while Ste and the Hog Roast Flint chefs and servers prepped our very special serving tent just outside. A great day getting to cook out in the sun, surrounded by a tonne of glamorous folks who gave us plenty of compliments and were well up for a good laugh with the whole team.
For such fine people, we had a very special menu made up of some of our favourites from our southern slow roast range. Our southern slow roast range, like our signature hog roast, is all about doing things low and slow for a long time, allowing the meat to get plenty tender and flavourful. The result for our pulled minted lamb, 24 hour beef brisket, and our Cajun spiced chicken thighs is perfect juiciness and flavour in every bite. As a veggie alternative: our BBQ pulled jackfruit, all to be served along with our creamy mac and cheese and freshly cooked fries.
