All through the summer you’ll be hearing plenty about weddings and wedding catering here at Hog Roast Chester. It is by far the most popular type of event in the summer. Everyone wants their weddings in the summer because the weather will help the photos and the general ambience of the day. While of course, yes, there is something a touch magical to a white winter wedding (especially when you get the fortune of actual snow on your side), there is no beating the brilliance of a bright, sunny, clear skied wedding day. Most wedding venues are geared toward this too, having excellent garden grounds that are best utilised during the spring and summer.
Hog Roast Chester makes sure to gear itself toward this, too. During the summer we are running constantly between venues each and every week, providing all kinds of unique and wonderful dining experiences to weddings. Our social posts are dominated by weddings, our blogs here, even our sourcing team has to work even harder to keep a constant rotation of the very best meats coming for our chefs each and every week.
This past weekend at Hog Roast Chester was again no different. This time it was the turn of the wonderful Kuziva and Felicity to tie the knot right here in Chester, surrounded by 120 of their closest friends and family. Head chef Ste and the Hog Roast Chester team were asked along to provide our catering support to the day. With our dining, your special day comes just as billed!
For a mid-afternoon serving team, Ste made sure to get our signature hog roast out on the spit early in the day. This gives it plenty time to crisp up nicely, turn lovely and golden, and even spill out plenty of crispy crackling which then goes straight back into our serving accompaniments for added texture to each plate. Starting early also gave Ste plenty time to prep our sage and onion stuffing, fresh apple sauce, grilled veg and halloumi skewers as a veggie alternative to our roast, and herb dressed new potatoes.
