Having to come for work at the weekend sounds like a pain, but when that work is actually a festival trip away with all of your colleagues with a special catered experience from the team at Hog Roast Wrexham, suddenly it sounds a whole lot better.
This was the experience for the staff members of Anthesis Ltd, who last weekend came out to Rackery Retreat here in Wrexham to enjoy a fantastic work festival. Making the short trip from Cheshire to a sunny Wales weekend away, it was a great opportunity for the team to come together, bond some more, and generate new ideas to take the business even further into the future.
Fuelling all of that, the specialist catering of Hog Roast Wrexham. Head chef Ste and the team were invited along to the retreat to cater an entire day of dining across the Saturday. With the summer sun out, we began with our famed gourmet barbecue – a must have this summer for all business teams in Wales and beyond. The work retreat was not only for staff members of Anthesis; families were invited along too meaning our total number of guests came to 100 adults and 26 kids. Though our dining can be considered “fancy” in some respects, we’ll always provide more specific dining options for the kids at events. So, our barbecue then looked like this: gourmet beef burgers, marinated chicken thighs, butcher’s quality sausages along with smaller sausage options for the kids to make hot dogs, veggie sausages and burgers, Ste’s own special pasta salad, leafy greens, and a mix of regular and sweet potato fries.
But the day’s dining did not end there. The BBQ was just lunch; our hog roast dining experience was then to follow for dinner after a day of activities and festivities for the Anthesis family. One hog roast cooked in the traditional spit style, a BBQ pulled jackfruit alternative for vegetarians, and plenty of fresh sides including gourmet coleslaw, leafy greens, sage and onion stuffing, and our crispy golden crackling with plenty of sauces to supplement every roll and wrap.
