During the wedding season, even our non-wedding events are still often wedding adjacent. This weekend it was a very special wedding anniversary held in Deeside, as Ste and the Hog Roast Deeside came out to see Mark and Sue as friends and family toasted to another wonderful year of marriage for the two.
With a wedding anniversary, your day can be a little more relaxed than the special day itself was, but you want your dining to take you back down memory lane to that day as you look out the photos, the setlist, and remember all the big moments from your special day. That is why so many come to Hog Roast Deeside for their wedding anniversaries. As a wedding caterer, we can take you right back to that day with our stylish roast dining.
For Mark and Sue, we had our sizzling southern slow roast on show. A menu that says summer and big occasions, this is one that packs in a tonne of heat and flavour. It is akin to a barbecue, only the meats are cooked low and slow for many hours rather than just being quickly thrown on the grill. The result however is a good dose of comfort dining that fits to the summer vibe, much like a classic British barbie. This American style of barbecue dining however favours rich and smoky BBQ flavours and sizzling spice with dry rubs and hot sauce marinades. Mark and Sue assured chef Ste that they could handle the heat.
Though with the warmth of the weekend, that was certainly put to the test. Our Cajun spiced chickens required a good bit of cooling with our sides of buttered corn cobettes and Greek salad, though anyone brave enough could also up the ante with our hot pepper sauce. For something more smoky, our Texas style beef brisket was a popular choice, especially when paired with our fresh fries. For even more BBQ goodness, our BBQ pork butt was a great choice.
We reckon this was just the perfect menu to go along with Mark and Sue’s special day. Another toast to an excellent year of marriage, made even better with the speciality catering of Hog Roast Deeside!
