Francis and her partner got engaged this spring after dating for the last seven years. The couple first met whilst studying at the same university in London and they got engaged whilst on a city break in the same area, which was the perfect backdrop for their special moment. The pair still had the same friendship group as they had at university, so they wanted to host a party to share the news with their friends and close family. Francis arranged a party to take place at their home in Hertfordshire, complete with catering from Hog Roast Abersoch. Our catering managers Darren and Lyndsey were happy to get involved with this party and quickly got to work on creating the perfect buffet menu for the occasion.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Abersoch team arrived at the private venue in the morning and began preparing our menu. We started by slow-roasting the hog, which was the star of the menu. Once ready, the succulent pork was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we served BBQ-pulled jackfruit and marinated chicken kebabs, as well as roasted baby potatoes and a selection of fresh salad dishes. Overall, this created a delicious and varied menu, with plenty of options for every guest to enjoy. The party was a big success and it was great to see the happy couple share their brilliant news!
