In February, we hosted an awards party for a local company. The event was thrown with a cocktail-party theme and demanded a menu that was just as fancy as its attendees. To make this happen, the Hog Roast Porthmadog team arrived at 3 pm, five hours before the chosen serving time. This gave the team plenty of time to freshly cook and prepare the menu from our formal hog roast dining experience.

On arrival, the guests were served a selection of canapés by our experienced waiting staff. They enjoyed a choice between chicken satay skewers, a selection of mini pizzas, roasted halloumi and tomato crostini, a selection of mini Indian delights and smoked Scottish salmon. Canapés are a great way of giving your guests a teaser of what is to come from the rest of the menu, whilst also fighting off any early hunger pangs before the starters come out.

Starters were served to the tables where guests enjoyed a homemade soup of the day served with a warm, crusty bread roll and butter. Followed by the buffet-style main course, which was a choice between spit-roasted whole English lamb or whole-roasted free-range chickens. The veggies and vegans were treated to our grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers and our BBQ-pulled jackfruit served in a bun. To complement the main dishes, we served an array of freshly made, colourful salads and dauphinoise potatoes. To top it off, cheesecake and fresh fruit salad were served with cream for dessert at the guest’s table.
