The team at Hog Roast Rhostyllen were hard at work last week, slow roasting our classic hog roast from sunrise to create a well deserved feast for the earlybirds at Huws Gray Wrexham, their employees were in for a treat as our catering team provided an all-day feast.
For anyone unfamiliar with Huws Gray, they are one of the UKs biggest independent builders merchants, most famous for supplying everything from timber to bricks to bathroom fittings. The business was founded in 1990 and has grown from a single branch to a nationwide network, with over 250 locations across the UK.
The day began with a delicious breakfast for 75 guests, we kept the morning menu simple but delicious: freshly baked bread rolls and crispy bacon sandwiches, with a selection of sauces to drizzle over the top for the perfect breakfast meal. We always ensure to cater for all dietary requirements so we had a vegetarian variant on hand so all employees were well fed this morning. Everything was served up on disposable plates and cutlery, perfect for those on the move.
Our guests were hard at work through the morning, so by lunch time they were ready for another well earned meal. Hog Roast Rhostyllen began the afternoon by serving up a whole roasted pig, complete with crispy crackling, sage and onion stuffing and sweet apple sauce. Guests could also add to their perfect plate with more freshly baked bread rolls and wraps.
For our vegetarian guests we had vegetable and grilled halloumi skewers, served on soft white wraps and drizzled with cooling tzatziki and sweet chilli sauce, all these details ensure every person involved was included and well-fed.
The Hog Roast Rhostyllen team, led by our friendly catering manager Ste, were reminded that food is so much more than just fuel, it’s a way to celebrate like minded people and bring colleagues together. The day was a celebration of hard working people, celebrating teamwork, community and great food.
