We have had a great time this weekend basking in temperatures of 20 degrees. Whilst it is not necesary to have great weather to have a great party it does help when it is a beautiful sunny day in April and you are having a hog roast in Rhostyllen. It really was shorts and t-shirts weather. The party was outside at the bottom of a long garden so we transported all our equipment down to the bottom out of the way and set up camp. We soon had the hog cooking and the kettle on. Even though it was a hot sunny day we still needed a cup of good strong tea. The menu was straight forward spit roasted pig with salads and potatoes. My favourite way to serve a pig. The combination of salads and hot new potatoes just seems to work so well. We served at 8pm just as the sun was going down the perfect end to the perfect day. It really was the most perfect Rhostyllen hog roast.
