We recently had a great day in North Wales catering for a wedding party of 200 guests. The bride and groom hired us because they wanted a more relaxed alternative for their guests than the traditional 3 course wedding breakfast, whilst still being able to provide a menu that offered delicious local produce with a touch of sophistication.
The weather was on our side as we set up in the lovely outdoor area of the hotel the couple had selected for their big day and when the wedding party arrived, the friendly team were ready to greet them with a selection of hand crafted canapes. The couple had chosen our delicate wild mushroom bouchees, smoked salmon, a range of tasty mini-quiches and our top-quality gourmet sausages. As always, the Hog Roast Bangor team listened carefully to their requirements and devised a creative menu that catered for all tastes and dietary needs.
The upbeat and relaxed atmosphere was everything our clients hoped for; the buffet style set up allowed guests to chat and mingle freely whilst enjoying the food. The classic hog roast with apple stuffing and crispy crackling was chosen for the main course, alongside a spit roasted sirloin with all the trimmings and a vegetarian alternative for those who didn’t eat meat. The food went down a storm, with most guests coming back for seconds and the father of the bride even coming back for a third helping!
Whilst the speeches were under way and the champagne was flowing freely, we added our own finishing touches to the couple’s wedding cake before the bride and groom took centre stage to cut the first piece and it was a pleasure to share this memorable moment with them.
Overall everyone had a lovely day and we received lots of great feedback about the food and service. The bride and groom enjoyed it so much that they want to hire us to do the catering for their first wedding anniversary!
