Our Popular Southern Slow Roast For A 60th Birthday Party

Hog Roast Holywell were delighted to be asked to cater at Paula’s 60^th birthday party in Holywell, North Wales.  Catering for this type of event is something that Hog Roast Holywell excels at alongside catering for weddings and corporate events and a selection of menus is available that will ensure that guests will always go away fulfilled and satisfied that the food that they have eaten has been high quality, delicious and with a professional service.

For all events, Hog Roast Holywell always liaises closely with the client to ensure that all expectations are met (and regularly surpassed!) and that the most appropriate menu is selected.  For this type of event, we have a selection of six menus and we discussed with Paula, which would be most suitable.  The menu selection ranges from informal, Hog in a Roll food to more formal sit-down catering and Paula was clear that this would be very informal and relaxed and decided that the Southern Slow Roast would be most suitable with pork butt, pulled beef, Cajun chicken and spiced lamb.  Paula also wanted coleslaw, Greek salad, minted new potatoes and mac and cheese as sides – absolutely delicious and great choices!  We also do desserts too and Paula selected fruit salad as the dessert option; we always welcome a mix and match approach to our menus and we know that there are many good caterers for this type of event but one of the things that makes Hog Roast Holywell great is not only the professional service and the very high-quality food, but also the flexibility and adaptability that we have to be able to tailor our menus for the clients’ requirements.

We arrived at the venue in good time to setup which immediately brought attention from some of Paula’s friends that were already there which increased further as we started to roast the hog!  Once set up and up to speed, we were ready to serve the delicious meats and the wonderful veg and salads and the food which all went down a treat with many guests commenting how tasty the food was.
