Post-Wedding Celebrations For A Recent Australian Wedding

Hog Roast Llanfihangel Glyn often caters for wedding receptions here in Wales and even further afield but sometimes we’re asked to cater a celebration sometime after the wedding itself, for varying reasons. Just recently, we were asked to provide some of our tasty, fresh food for a celebration of a couple who married in Australia. While we cater in some far-flung places, Australia is not one of them, unfortunately! So when the couple needed a celebration locally, here in our village Llanfihangel Glyn, we were happy to rise to the occasion.

You may not know that we have lots of variety here in Hog Roast Llanfihangel Glyn, and though many of our customers come back to use again and again for a hog or spit roast, we can do so much more too, if needed. We have several menus for you to look through and we welcome customers to mix and match items to create the menu of their dreams. You can even create your own bespoke menu, however, or work with us to create exactly what you hope for on your special occasion.

For this post-wedding celebration, Hog Roast Llanfihangel Glyn was asked to provide our Wedding Menu 4, with a hog roast centrepiece, for 150 guests. This menu is for a more traditional kind of catering, and can include a drinks reception, canapés served to the guests, a plated starter, the main course, and a plated dessert, as well as tea and coffee. For the main course, you can choose from a hog or spit-roasted meat such as spring lamb, turkey, chicken or roast beef or even something different like barbecued meat or whole roast salmon. Nevertheless, this couple knew they wanted a slowly-roasted pig to be served, to enjoy alongside a tomato and mozzarella salad, a mixed salad and our homemade coleslaw, as well as new potatoes.

 As this was a late lunch service, Hog Roast Llanfihangel Glyn arrived hours before, in the morning, to start prepping the hog. Once done, and once we had everything else ready, it was finally time to serve the hungry guests outside in the glorious sunshine.
