The Easter weekend was filled with sunshine and really brightened our mood! Lately we have found our selves stuck on busy motorways and snowed in some of the most remote places in the UK but it was really refreshing heading out with the sun shining and we haven’t been able to do that for such a long time. Hog roast were south west at the weekend, Good Friday we were catering for the Easter march parade at the local church in a beautiful picture post card village, we were catering for the children in the procession the local Boy Scouts, Brownies and Girl Guides we arrived nice and early and set up our machine turning our spit roast into a state of the art barbeque machine with the simple addition of a special plate. We soon had the food sizzling away and soon had a crowd gathering we cooked beef burgers, chicken burgers and sausage and onion to a very hungry bunch of children served with lashings of ketchup, we had our jacket potatoes cooking on the underside of the machine and offered an assortment of fillings too. The food was disappearing quickly, which is always a good sign. On the Saturday we were up north catering for a dart marathon which was being held in a public house we were asked to cater for two hundred but it felt more like three! A really busy day we served chicken and pork and cracking. Easter Sunday we were in our local village catering for a christening it was a lovely day and out door, we set up our marquee and cooked a pig the pig drew lots of attention from guests and the children were all mesmerised at the sight of the pig. Bank holiday Monday Hog roast hire had a well deserved day off well we were still busy we gave our machines a special spring clean and our service engineer carried out the annual gas check on the machines all ready for next week when we are heading east for a wedding and we hope the weather will be as kind as it has been this weekend…
