Red Ruby Anniversary Roast Dining with Hog Roast Llanaber

40 years of anything is an incredible achievement, and when it is 40 years of marriage to your wonderful partner what more cause for celebration do you really need. For a Ruby year it is only fair to go all out with your anniversary celebrations, gathering all your friends and family for an incredible party dedicated to love and life!

That was the thinking of Bert and Lisa who came to Hog Roast Llanaber looking for catering like no other to their 40^th anniversary. For a red ruby year what better than a roast! Bert and Lisa found us just a few years ago when we were forced into making deliveries as a stopgap during the pandemic instead of the usual catered events that we love. However it wasn’t all bad because of course we managed to reach people like Bert and Lisa who haven’t forgotten the delicious hog roasts that helped brighten a couple of their days during such a dark period. Now that we have moved out of the clouds into more straight sailing Bert and Lisa couldn’t wait to get us on the line to order catering for an upcoming event. How fortuitous it is then that they had the perfect excuse for one coming up with their anniversary not too far off!

That time finally came this past weekend, and Hog Roast Llanaber most certainly delivered on all of Bert and Lisa’s high expectations. With over one hundred of their closest friends and family members in attendance Hog Roast Llanaber had our work cut out – but what better in such a situation than a delicious hog roast which can feed around that amount with one pig and its typical accompaniments. Our catering manager arrived on site early in the day to get our roaster set up and cooking so that the hog roast would be just ready by mealtime.

In the meantime we also had plenty of roast potatoes, our homemade coleslaw, a fresh Caesar salad, fries, veg and halloumi skewers, and homemade burgers to prepare. The meal was catered buffet style with our servers helping guests to plate up at their choosing before dessert of tarte au citron or cheesecake was served.

It was a wonderful event for a wonderful couple, and of course Hog Roast Llanaber looks forward to seeing them on their 50^th anniversary next!
