What better way to celebrate a birthday than with the addition of some beautifully slow roasted food? Here at Hog Roast Dolgellau that is what we do best as we endeavour to supply our delicious food to as many guests as possible up and down the country.
This week we had been contacted by Gareth who was organising a party for his dads 60th birthday. When booking Gareth mentioned that the family home was actually on a working farm and he had had trouble finding a caterer that could get to the venue and cook on site. It was important to Gareth and his dad that the food was fresh and so they really didn’t want to have to rely on a cold buffet or precooked food. Well, luckily here at Hog Roast Dolgellau we specialise in cooking wholesome, hearty food on location. No matter where in the UK you are based, we will be able to travel to you, bringing all of the equipment we need to create a mouth-watering Hog Roast Dolgellau meal. As our hog roasting machines are fully portable, there is really no place that we cannot cater from. Our only requirements are a freshwater supply and plenty of ventilation and the rest just leave to us!
After setting off nice and early we arrived at the farm mid-morning which would give us plenty of time to prepare for a 5 pm serve time. The barn had been beautifully decorated with banners, photos and streamers and we couldn’t wait for the party to get started. First up on our to-do list was to get the meat roasting away. As we were catering for farmers, they had insisted they supply the pig themselves so that it would be a real homage to the hard work Simon, Gareth’s dad, puts in on the farm. This was no problem and we were happy to meet their requests and got the pig slowly roasting away to perfection…
