Hog Roast Benllech – Rounding Off February With A Beer Festival

Our schedule has been chock full of exciting events recently, and to round off the month of February, the Hog Roast Benllech catering crew were asked to serve one of our irresistible menus at a nearby beer festival. With between 250 and 300 people jumping at the chance to taste local craft beers, real ales and tasty food, there was a lot of work to be done, but as always, our team pulled together and helped the client create an unforgettable environment for the guests.

In the hopes of being able to please everyone in attendance, our catering manager had suggested serving the southern slow roast menu, which the client thought was a fantastic idea! With its selection of pre-marinated meats and an array of mouth-watering sides, the American inspired feast is the perfect flavour-packed menu to tempt even the fussiest of eaters, and with the addition of our vegetarian and vegan options, there truly is something on offer for everyone.

Preparing for a busy day ahead, Hog Roast Benllech made sure to arrive six hours before any of the guests were set to show up. Using their time effectively, the team quickly set up the catering gazebo and began slow roasting the meats until the BBQ pork butt, fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs and Texan 24 hour beef brisket were soft and juicy. For the side options, the team also whipped up buttery corn cobbettes, Memphis style crunchy coleslaw and loaded fries which were served alongside freshly-baked gluten-free rolls and homemade dips.

As the food neared completion, other stalls began popping up until the site was transformed into a mini-market which specialised in boozy beverages and delicious treats! The guests were in awe when they arrived at the venue where they were immediately greeted by drool-worthy scents from the Hog Roast Benllech buffet table and the refreshing beers.

The client couldn’t have asked for a better turnout or atmosphere, and even as Hog Roast Benllech packed away our equipment later that afternoon having ensured everyone was well fed, the ticket holders were still enjoying the last moments of the event.
